Grace International School provides a conducive environment for learning and academic excellence. The school's facilities, staff, and curriculum equips students with the necessary resources to excel academically. Offering a rich and varied educational environment, the institution aims to expand students' horizons, instill exemplary Christian moral values, foster a spirit of service to others, and develop competencies that enable students to compete effectively at both local and international levels. The school motto, "Knowledge is Power," chosen from Hosea 4:6, encapsulates our educational philosophy. Attendance at Grace International School ensures that students acquire knowledge essential for making significant contributions to society. As educators, we are committed to establishing the moral, social, and intellectual foundations that produce balanced, morally upright, and socially compassionate individuals. Our graduates are poised to serve their communities and, by extension, the nation of Ghana effectively.
Grace International School was established in July 1994, following profound deliberation by its founders, Mr. T. Q. Lartey and Mrs. Paulina Lartey, on their contribution to the nation and the desire to share their valuable experiences as educators. The inspiration for founding the school also partly came from Mrs. Georgina Intsiful of St. George’s Preparatory/J.H.S. in Kumasi, who was Mrs. Paulina Lartey's teacher at Komenda Training College. Both Mrs. Intsiful and Mr. T. Q. Lartey held leadership roles in the Superintendent Minister’s Monday Class at Wesley Methodist Church in Adum, Kumasi.
The school commenced operations on the ground floor of its current building, starting with a pre-school that initially enrolled four pupils. Following the inauguration, enrollment increased to seven. The pre-school began under the tutelage of Mrs. Mary Ameyaw. The name "Grace International" was selected to reflect the unmerited favor that, according to the founders, God had bestowed upon them. This name signifies the institution's foundational principles and its commitment to providing quality education underpinned by strong moral values.
